About Us
At Slater Music Academy, all we do is music instruction. We do not sell instruments or sheet music,
so all of our energy and time is devoted to bringing our customers the highest quality of music
instruction available in the Tri-State area. Each instructor is highly trained and experienced. Many
have advanced degrees, and all have proven records of excellence in working and interacting with
students. Academy students are given ample opportunities to perform and share their music through
recitals, master classes, festivals, service projects and family sharing sessions. Private lessons are
individually tailored to match the skill and dedication of each student. We offer flexible schedules to
suit busy schedules and a variety of payment plans for every budget. Fall-Winter offerings include
Suzuki and traditional method private piano, "Music for Little Mozarts" piano classes for children ages
four through six, Suzuki and traditional method violin and viola, private voice, private voice/piano
combination lessons, private and class guitar (both acoustic and electric), group ukulele classes for
children ages four through seven, private bass guitar, mandolin, dulcimer, banjo, and ukulele, and
"Music Together" classes for children birth through four. There's something for every member of the
family at Slater Music Academy!
